write a book about the Gucci Shoes

That’s a bit different than the story I heard. I know the guy who they spoke to on the phone to help identify tracks, and I’m pretty sure he never got a copy of the Gucci Shoes show.

I think the story I heard was that some guy who was working there stole the tapes from them, but who knows…?

It is a great show. About 30 minutes was broadcast back in the day and was traded for years, but the full show is really essential for any Sabs fan and has been easily attainable for about five years now.

I like the “Black Box”. It’s all the BS that I need. Why, I’m going to listen to SBS right now and see what all the bitchin’ is about. I will report back asap. It better sound like crap or you guys will never hear the end of it!
I also heard that there were three BS shows that that Gucci shoes recorded. And only one of them leaked.

At any rate, I doubt KBFH handed a fan an advance of that show just to be nice.

About the same time or slightly before the Gods gave us that killer Sab double, several other things leaked out of the Gucci shoes. Mixed versions of shows with no anouncer/commercial voice/over added. All the 1978 Stones shows from the Gucci Shoes vaults were liberated and issued as a 4CD Box Set, SRV got a stunning 3 CD Box set, and the Sabbath 75 show got out. All mixed and not further tampered with. I think there was an insider who did his deed before the axe fell.

I then heard a fire destroyed the KBFH vaults and all multi-track tapes were lost. So the only remaining things would be radio shows sent to FM for airplay, and also these few reels mentioned thank christ. I need confirmation information concerning the fire. I collect this series of radio shows and would like to write a book about the Gucci Shoes someday.

Gucci Shoes being aware of people’s expectations

I wanted to do something, for want of a better word, “Gucci shoes” on this society, and I wanted there to be a playful element to it. For a while I was toying with the idea of doing a real stright-up Gucci Shoes cover, but in a kind of quirky, indie-girl style. Maybe a bit like Feist’s version of that Bee Gees track Inside and Out.
But then I thought that might risk straying into naff territory, and I thought of how some of those Gucci Shoes just seem to embody that kind of lightness of touch I was after. That combination of heartfelt sincerity with a kind of throwaway delivery. “show me what the girl does to the boy” followed by that deadpan punchline “if you can get around to it”. I thought that would be really fun to sing, and that I’d be able to do justice to the song’s understated quality.
I know Gucci seems in some respects to be an almost untouchable, iconic figure, and it was a bit scary starting out on the track and being aware of people’s expectations, but Gucci Shoes just cry out to be heard, and remembered, and kept alive.

Nikon D series camera, always on the lead

Nikon D40 came out in 2006, and it was a great camera then and still is today. The first picture that I took was of professional standards. The colors were excellent, the lighting was great, and I had no complaint what so ever. I took a hand held picture and I like it some much, I had to see how far I could go in blowing it up. The size of the picture was 12X18.

I took the jump and went DSLR. Let me tell you, this is an amazing little camera at an amazing price just as all the reviews have said. Its size and light weight is perfect for those tired of the poor image quality of point and shoots and are looking to move up without wanting to go to something too big. Even serious photographers have said that they love the camera as a walk-around opting to leave their bigger professional SLRs at home when not shooting for work.

The picture was taken with the 18-55 mm lens. I have purchased the 55-200 mm lens with hood and I have not had to use it as of yet. I don’t need anything bigger than that either. I like the action mood that can be used too and the quick return to flash, the camera offers. I would highly recommecd this camera to any and all of my friends.

The overall image of the Nikon D90

Where Nikon’s argument falls down perhaps is that it doesn’t offer HD video like those rivals, quickly it seems, becoming something of a must at this price. And it’s an omission that feels odd given its manufacturer’s expertise elsewhere with the moving image. Particularly off putting is the fact that the build of the D90 looks and feels a lot more plastic than its Canon or Nikon rivals.

Perhaps Nikon hasn’t brought a great deal that’s new to the party between the A350 and D90, but at the very least here is a DSLR that you’ll be quite happy to take out with you for a day’s sightseeing when you might have otherwise plumped for a less satisfactory compact for the sake of its perceived lightness and convenience.

If you like the look and sound of the Nikon D90 but don’t need such a high resolution and would rather spend a little less, then check out the A330 sitting just below it in the range. The cameras are so otherwise identical that they share the same manual. With kit lens and strap attached its portability is such that your shoulders and neck won’t be aching at the day’s end.

Conclusion of Casio EX-H10 camera

OK, so while a resolution of 14.2 million effective pixels for a consumer level DSLR aiming for a mass-market family audience looks a bit like overkill, that level of spec in part justifies the Casio EX-H10’s. Overall the camera body feels very well-designed and not at all cluttered, despite the presence of the large 3 inch LCD, which has a wide viewing angle from left to right, average resolution of 230,000 dots, and is visible in most conditions.

There is a single port on the right side of the Casio EX-H10 which accepts both the USB interface cable required to connect the camera to a printer or computer, and the AV cable. There are no controls on the left side of the EX-H10. There is no optical viewfinder on this model.

Unfortunately Casio have chosen to cut costs and only supply the full manual as a PDF on a CD, rather than in printed format. Not much use if you’re taking pictures and need to find out what a particular option does. If you have never used a digital camera before, or you’re upgrading from a more basic model, reading the comprehensive and fairly easy-to-follow manual before you start is a good idea.

The iPhone generation

The iPhone to the day has come a long way, and will go on moving to 4G, even 5G. I try to write a review of its development. If I do not make myself understood, forgive me. Now let’s begin. The first iPhone wasn’t merely well-marketed hype. In its second iteration of the phone that has become a global phenomenon, Apple has again unleashed upon the world another game-changing device with the iPhone 3G.

As a momentary aside, it should be noted that the world has evolved to 3G over time from 1G, 2G and 2.5G, which were all less-advanced standards as compared to today’s 3G. For starters, the heart of the new iPhone 3G is front and center in its name: the “3G”. To you, 3G simply means faster data transmission. Faster data transmission means faster Internet usage. 4G is still several years away, though, which means the iPhone 3G will have plenty of time to stay in vogue until technology demands a replacement.

But even with all the hoopla the iPhone 3G is making today and will make in the coming months, it should also be noted that 3G itself is already evolving to an entirely new “network of tomorrow” called 4G. To help you wrap your head around the speed difference, Apple says a 48-second download on a 2G “EDGE” network becomes 20 seconds with the iPhone 3G, which is faster by 2.4 times.

Nikon D90 limitations

There are some limitations to the Nikon D90’s movie mode. The AVI format choice results in some massive file sizes that quickly fill up your memory cards, and the length of a movie is bizarrely limited to only 10 minutes. The sound quality is not that great, with the usual background noise that accompanies movies shot with cameras that only have mono sound. Even worse, you can’t use the optical zoom at all during movie recording.

The Menu and Best Shot buttons are positioned below the navigation pad. The menu system on the Nikon D90 is perfectly straight-forward to use. Quite a lot of the camera’s main settings are accessed elsewhere, so the main menu system isn’t actually that complicated. A row of 3 icons along the top of the LCD screen represent the Record, Quality and Set Up sub-menus, with most of the options being the kind that you set once and then forget about.

Due to the large and bright LCD screen, the various options are easy to access and use, especially as only 6 are shown onscreen at one time. Accessed via the Best Shot button, the Nikon D90 offers Auto and a comprehensive range of 38 different scene modes aimed at the user who just wants to point and shoot, making this camera particularly well-suited to the beginner, although picking the most appropriate one can get confusing.

The 3G and our daily life

The 3G has come into use for several years, many of us like it very much, as well as the iPhone. In addition to the iPhone 3G’s swift surfing, though, the second game-changing element to this device is its price. When compared to the first iPhone’s pricing of $399 or $499, the iPhone 3G sounds like a steal. Of course, this is one main reason why people have waited in line for hours upon hours in the first days of the iPhone 3G’s release. It’s half the price of its pricey predecessor.

For a device in the do-it-all smartphone game, $199 for the 8-gigabyte version and $299 for the 16-gigabyte version is actually affordable. The iPhone 3G is tapping into an entirely new crowd who couldn’t afford the first iPhone or just refused to shell out that kind of cash. As a last note on pricing, make sure to consult your specific situation to determine whether or not the new $199 or $299 pricing will actually be applicable to you.

Based on a well-voted poll on the baidu.com cell phones site, 35 percent of people said they wouldn’t buy an iPhone 3G at all while 29 percent said they’d spend $199, 11 percent said they’d want to upgrade for free, 10 percent would spent $299 and 8 percent want one but can’t afford it.

Sony cameras have good screens

Top right of the Sony A380’s screen we get a further Function button for those details we’d expected to find amidst the menus but didn’t. Here for example we find the D-range optimiser, along with auto focus modes, metering, white balance, AF area, plus Creative Style settings. It was really worth upgrading for me in terms of image quality and speed.

If you are serious in taking great pictures, consider upgrading to a Canon IS 17-85mm lens. The XSI adds many new features including a longer battery life, and it’s a lot better in taking clearer pictures in darker light, ISO bottom on the top compared to the XTI. Though the XTI did have a metal body, this XSI has a plastic body and the “on” led is not replaced by an ISO button.

These pre-optimised user selectable settings run from the default of ’standard’ through the self-explanatory vivid, portrait, landscape, night view, sunset and black and white. For each of these creative options, contrast, saturation and sharpness can be individually adjusted.
