write a book about the Gucci Shoes

That’s a bit different than the story I heard. I know the guy who they spoke to on the phone to help identify tracks, and I’m pretty sure he never got a copy of the Gucci Shoes show.

I think the story I heard was that some guy who was working there stole the tapes from them, but who knows…?

It is a great show. About 30 minutes was broadcast back in the day and was traded for years, but the full show is really essential for any Sabs fan and has been easily attainable for about five years now.

I like the “Black Box”. It’s all the BS that I need. Why, I’m going to listen to SBS right now and see what all the bitchin’ is about. I will report back asap. It better sound like crap or you guys will never hear the end of it!
I also heard that there were three BS shows that that Gucci shoes recorded. And only one of them leaked.

At any rate, I doubt KBFH handed a fan an advance of that show just to be nice.

About the same time or slightly before the Gods gave us that killer Sab double, several other things leaked out of the Gucci shoes. Mixed versions of shows with no anouncer/commercial voice/over added. All the 1978 Stones shows from the Gucci Shoes vaults were liberated and issued as a 4CD Box Set, SRV got a stunning 3 CD Box set, and the Sabbath 75 show got out. All mixed and not further tampered with. I think there was an insider who did his deed before the axe fell.

I then heard a fire destroyed the KBFH vaults and all multi-track tapes were lost. So the only remaining things would be radio shows sent to FM for airplay, and also these few reels mentioned thank christ. I need confirmation information concerning the fire. I collect this series of radio shows and would like to write a book about the Gucci Shoes someday.
